The School of Architecture at Mississippi State University requires the purchase of an appropriate laptop computer and software. On entering the design studio sequence, each student is required to purchase a laptop computer and software that meet the specifications below. The laptop and required peripherals must be up and running by November 1 of the fall semester or by June 10 of summer I term.
Acceptance to the School of Architecture is limited and highly competitive. Admission to Mississippi State University does not guarantee acceptance to the School of Architecture.
The acceptance process consists of two steps for all students:
1. Apply to Mississippi State University and indicate a major in architecture.
To help gain professional experience, the School of Architecture facilitates externships and co-ops and helps with internships through our Career Expo and job postings.
Design Discovery is a weeklong summer workshop intended to answer many of the questions about architecture and design as fields of study and as professions.
