Research Centers

There are three research centers with the College of Architecture, Art, and Design. The Fred Carl. Jr. Small Town Center (STC) is comprised of architects, planners and students who work to improve the built environment in the communities in which they work. The Gulf Coast Community Design Studio (GCCDS) is a professional service and outreach program. The Jackson Community Design Center (JCDC) is a design studio housed in the School of Architecture’s fifth-year Jackson Center that aims to create urban projects working with the community based on their needs.
