The W.L. Giles Distinguished Professor was one of just eight artists to have two pieces selected for the magazine by awards juror and noted artist Mary Whyte.

As part of an international research project, Mississippi State University School of Architecture Assistant Professor Silvina Lopez Barrera is organizing a webinar with Dr. Diego Thompson (MSU, Sociology) and colleagues from University of Lima, Peru.
The goal of this project is to understand how the different characteristics of informal and self-help housing influence place attachment, vulnerability, and community resilience in different contexts in the Americas.
