Mississippi State art students install ‘Welcoming Wiggles’ for J.L. King Community Center
This is the first of three public works of art to be installed as part of the Starkville Public Art Plan made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts received by the Fred Carl, Jr. Small Town Center.
Upcoming MSU fine arts graduates present ‘Streams of Consciousness’ exhibition
Open May 6-15, the “Streams of Consciousness” show includes installations in the art galleries of the Visual Arts Center, Cullis Wade Depot and Colvard Student Union.

The allure around celebrities has always been intriguing to me. I cannot seem to understand why the image of the celebrity holds so much weight in modern society. Aside from money and fame, what's the difference between a celebrity and your average Joe? Through illustrative multimedia paintings, Pedestal Pedestrians consist of four bodies of work all done on wood panels utilizing the combination of acrylic paint, color pencil, charcoal and ink.
