Caleb A. McWhorter is the university’s 2025 recipient of the $20,000 Aydelott Travel Award, and Evelin “Jo” Aguilar is receiving a $4,750 Trussell Travel Award.

The third-year studio designed a mixed-use, multi-family housing project at the corner of B.B. King Boulevard and Court Avenue in downtown Memphis.
I knew I wanted to go into architecture early in high school, and after touring multiple programs, MSU had the ideal studio environment I wanted to pursue. There are enough people to collaborate, but not so many that I feel like just a number to my professors. Overall, I feel I made the correct choice when choosing CAAD at MSU, as it seems to be the program that just “clicks” with me.
