Mississippi State University’s College of Architecture, Art and Design recently received three grants from the Mississippi Arts Commission.
Associate Dean and Professor Dominic Lippillo and Assistant Professor Caroline Hatfield were both recipients of $500 MAC mini-grants. The art professors will put these funds toward supplies for their creative work.
One of the college’s research centers, the Fred Carl Jr. Small Town Center, was a recipient of a $5,000 organization project grant. The center utilized the funds to support a design charette for the creation of a 2027 Venice Biennale pavilion.
“The Mississippi Arts Commission is a vital agency in the state that provides financial assistance and support for arts programming for individuals, arts organizations and educational institutions throughout Mississippi,” Associate Dean Dominic Lippillo said. “I am grateful that over the years many faculty from the College of Architecture, Art and Design have been recipients of MAC’s competitive grants and fellowships. Furthermore, I am honored to work with colleagues that are innovators and contributors to their fields and that MAC believes their creative activities are important to fund. Through MAC’s support, our projects will be exhibited regionally, nationally and internationally.”
