Gulf Coast Community Design Studio offers virtual Community Research Fellow training

As part of the REACH (Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health) grant, the Mississippi State University Gulf Coast Community Design Studio is offering a free virtual training program to become a Community Research Fellow.

The 12-week training will provide hands-on experience with researchers who are making a difference in their communities.

Benefits

  • Meet leaders and researchers with similar interests in improving the health of Mississippians.
  • Play a role in making sure community research projects are created to positively impact your community. 

Eligibility

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must currently live or work in Hancock, Harrison, or Jackson counties
  • Must have an interest in improving minority health, public health research, or reducing health disparities 
  • Will commit to two online hours (6 - 8 p.m.) once a week for 12 weeks beginning May 5, 2020.
