ASID leaders at 2015 convocation

A Mississippi State student group is being recognized by the nation’s leading professional organization for interior designers.
Chosen from a group of 25 chapters around the country, the 55-member student chapter of American Society of Interior Designers is receiving an honorable mention award as part of a chapter-of-the-year competition. Formal presentation takes place July 16 during ASID’s annual leadership conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Mississippi’s largest, interior design is an academic program of the university’s College of Architecture, Art and Design.

“The quality of this year’s entries has been exceptional, with student leaders and educators who went above and beyond to connect students to the impact of design,” said ASID CEO Randy Fiser in announcing the winners. “We are thrilled to honor their achievements.”
Competition judges included Michael Bent of IA Interior Architects’ New York office, associate professor Tamie Glass of the University of Texas at Austin and Beth Harmon-Vaughan of the Gensler international design and architecture firm.
