Christie McNeal is the communications specialist for the College of Architecture, Art and Design at Mississippi State University. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing communications. Christie has worked at Journal, Inc. in Tupelo and at Southern Progress Corporation in Birmingham, Alabama. She currently resides in Columbia with her husband, L.V., principal at Columbia High School; their son, Vaughn; and their daughter, Annie.

MSU student work on display at Arts Center of Mississippi

The exhibit, “Gulf Coast Interdisciplinary Studio: Towards an Equitable and Adaptive Architecture,” showcases work by the Gulf Coast Interdisciplinary Studio that explores ways architecture and landscape architecture can respond and adapt for climate, weather and natural disasters while also considering the challenges faced by rising housing costs and unbalanced development.

CAAD research centers featured in Italy’s famous Venice Biennale

Both Mississippi State’s Fred Carl Jr. Small Town Center and the Gulf Coast Community Design Studio are selections among 54 national finalists featured this year in Venice, Italy, at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, a premier international architectural showcase.
