The College of Architecture, Art and Design Dean's Council hosted a series of events for CAAD students, faculty and staff to wind down and de-stress before the end of the semester.
The day kicked off with a "free-for-all paint wall" with spray painting and paint-filled water balloons.
Next, a teacher from The Studio Barre and Wellness in Starkville taught a "Restore" class that focused on breathing, meditation, and movement.
The purpose of this new course – taught by Department of Art Instructor Lori Neuenfeldt – is to allow students to step into the world of museum professionals and gain first-hand experience creating museum programs, displays, and planning an exhibition.

This will be an interactive on-campus research showcase geared toward students! Every college and some of the centers/institutes will be represented.

Professor of Architecture Hans Herrmann and and Associate Professor of Graphic Design Suzanne Powney received the ACSA Design-Build Award for their collaborative project, the LivingRoom, a prototype outdoor classroom and learning garden.
Mississippi State's Spring 2023 School of Architecture & Department of Interior Design Career Fair was held in Giles Hall on Thurs., Jan. 26, 2023, from 12-3 p.m.
Sixty-five firms from across the country came to meet and talk with students.
A reception will be held following the event in Memorial Hall's Coskrey Auditorium from 3:30 - 5: p.m.
MSU architecture, landscape architecture and interior design students recently participated in the second Design Leadership Foundation’s Professional Horizons Workshop in Starkville where experts shared experiences from their own successful professions. The DLF is a program within the national Design Leadership Network that assists students with their educational and financial needs.
