The Mississippi State University Department of Art Galleries is pleased to present LatinXpression: Diveristy in Art, a group show by Mississippi-based artists Jackie Gonzalez Wooten, Hector Boldo, and Tom Boldo.  

This inaugural show in the newly renovated Old Main Gallery will feature painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and ceramic work.  From street vendors in Mexico to figurines representing hopes and dreams to graceful ceramic installations, Jackie, Hector, and Tom create from their lived experiences. 

The artists are founders of the Mississippi Latinx Art Association as well as Nuestro Arte, a fine art gallery and community-engaged space in Hattiesburg, MS. 

In addition to the exhibition, the artists will be visiting campus September 16th-18th.  

A spirit doll workshop will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, September 16th in Freeman Hall 113.  Free and open to the public.

The group will give a public talk at 3pm the next day followed by a gallery reception at 5:30pm in the Old Main Art Galleries.
