About Alex Bostic:
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Alex Bostic is an illustrator with more than 40 years experience. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration from Pratt Institute in 1979. He also holds a Master of Arts in illustration from Syracuse University.
Bostic is celebrated for his painting “Edmonia Lewis” featured on a new USPS stamp. The Edmonia Lewis Commemorative Forever stamp – the 45th stamp in the USPS’s Black Heritage Series – was released January 26, 2022.
