Overview
The Master of Science in Construction Management is an advanced degree program designed to prepare graduates for leadership roles in the construction industry by offering a balanced blend of theoretical and practical experience.
The program was developed in close collaboration with the Department of Building Construction Science’s Industry Advisory Board, a group comprised of leading construction professionals and alumni. That collaboration helped establish courses that reflect the latest trends in technology, data analysis and project management to meet evolving industry needs.
Degree Requirements
All MS in Construction Management students must complete 30 credit hours:
- 15 credit hours of core courses
- 9 credit hours of elective courses*
- 6 credit hours of track option courses
Students can choose from the following tracks:
- Professional Track: Two 3-credit hour courses
- Research Track: One 6-credit hour thesis
*Students may substitute up to three elective courses with comparable offerings from other departments. All elective substitutions require individual review and approval by the Graduate Director.
