Art Summer Camp: INvision

INvision offers an exciting, intensive, one week in-residence summer program to introduce students to majors in the studio fields of art and design.

The next available camp will be held Monday, June 8 – Friday, June 12, 2020.

Students will be exposed to an array of cultural and social activities such as an artist lecture series, gallery exhibitions, movie night, and field trips. Full days will include fundamentals of drawing and design and computer art applications. At the end of the program students will exhibit their work at the Visual Arts Center Gallery. The exhibit will be open to the Mississippi State University community, family, and friends.

Throughout the week faculty and professionals in the visual and design fields, such as sculptors, graphic designers, illustrators, and fashion designers will engage students and discuss creative career opportunities.

Eligibility

The program provides an opportunity for talented high school age students (16 and above) and incoming freshman to experiment and learn about majors and careers in the professional art world.

Application and Costs

INvision is first-come, first-served, and space is limited. All applications should be received by us before May 15. Anyone considering applying after this date should call the Mississippi State University Department of Art to see if space is still available.
