2007 Career Day Poster
Following their third- or fourth-year, architecture students may elect to fulfill one year of their three-year Intern Development Program (IDP) requirements through a co-op experience managed by the MSU Career Center. The Cooperative Education Program works closely with students in making employment arrangements and monitors their performance through firm submitted progress reports. These assessments are used to help students better understand professional expectations, and inform S/ARC faculty of student preparedness.

In conjunction with the MSU Career Center, the College of Architecture, Art, and Design hosts a Career Day generally held in February. This day and a half event gives participating firms a chance to highlight their work, and schedule and conduct interviews. Graduating students, and others interested in summer jobs and/or co-op opportunities are encouraged to submit portfolios. Firms located throughout Mississippi are in attendance, in addition to firms located in Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, Baltimore, Nashville, Birmingham, New York City, and Boston.
