Architect, architectural historian, and theorist Rachel McCann, Professor at Mississippi State University, obtained a B.Arch. from Mississippi State University, an M.Arch. from Georgia Institute of Technology, and an M.Phil. in Architectural History and Cricitism from the University of Cambridge. She recently completed a Ph.D. in Histories and Theories of Architecture at the Architectural Association in London and teaches architectural history, theory, and design at Mississippi State University. Her research, inspired by French phenomenologist Maurice Merleau-Ponty, investigates the full-body engagement of architecture.
