Vitruvius

"It follows, therefore, that architects who have aimed at acquiring manual skill without scholarship have never been able to reach a position of authority to correspond to their pains, while those who relied only upon theories and scholarship were obviously hunting the shadow, not the substance. I have electronically compiled the English translation of Vitruvius' Treatise which is in the Public Domain, and published it as a pdf file. See below. Right now it is only the text, but I hope to add the illustrations in the future.

ARC 4990 - AutoCAD for Architects

Three hour lecture: This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of AutoCAD software and basic methods for two-dimensional architectural drawing and construction documents using AutoCAD.  This is a basic and intermediate class using Autodesk Architectural Desktop.  Students should have a general working knowledge of 2-D drafting and orthographic projection and 3-D modeling.  Students will learn a general knowledge of AutoCAD commands and usage.  The class will contain lectures on subject matter as well as demonstrations and hands-on class activities.

This degree was earned through the Syracuse University Foreign Exchange Program in Florence, Italy.  I spent two semesters in Florence, studying Urban Architecture and Urban Design while touring Italy and Europe.
