Justin Taylor received his Bachelor of Architecture degree in May 2005 from Mississippi State and his Master of Science in May of 2007. While completing his Master’s degree, Justin worked on many projects including the Performance House, DRIL virtual integration team and the Green Mobile project. He is co inventor of several patented systems. He published and presented research at the Computer Supported Cooperative Work Conference in Banff, Canada, and at the Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to his studies and research, he was a Teaching Assistant for the College of Architecture and manager of the CACAM lab at Mississippi State from 2005-2007.
Justin’s honors here at State include the American Institute of Architects’ Henry Adams award and Architectural Research Centers Consortium King Student Medal for Excellence in Architectural+Environmental Design Research.
He is married to Lori Wilson of Blue Mountain, Mississippi, and they have one son, Andrew who is 5 years old. Lori is a fifth grade teacher at Ward Stewart in Starkville and A.J. is a kindergarten student at Sudduth. His parents are Gary and Anne Taylor of Tishomingo.
Justin began his career path as a child with elaborate buildings designed with Lego blocks and constantly questioning the why and how of the natural and mechanical world. He also grew up surrounded by family of educators where learning and teaching were constant companions. He remains today passionate about architecture, research, and teaching.
