INTERIOR DESIGN PROGRAM

Faculty

The faculty in the Interior Design Program are dedicated to providing a supportive, yet challenging, learning environment. We believe that setting high standards is absolutely essential to engage students and push them to high levels of achievement. To create this type of learning environment, we:

  • Employ studio based learning methods, where appropriate, for large scale projects providing significant access to instructors
  • Help students to develop the resourcefulness and confidence needed to excel in the design profession
  • Model professionalism in the way we treat students and each other, while remaining physically and emotionally accessible to them on a daily basis
  • Dedicate ourselves as faculty to making the MSU Interior Design Program a premier program as evidenced by our students employment possibilities, salaries, and industry feedback
  • Maintain a diversity of professional input to the program through faculty interests, adjunct faculty, guest speakers, and field trips
  • Create a chain of guidance and support that continues long after graduation through continued interaction with alumni
