The Department of Art offers more than 45,000 square feet of studio, laboratory, classroom, and gallery space on the MSU campus, including a newly renovated area for digital photography.
Freeman Hall [ map ]
Freeman Hall Houses The MSU Department of Art Office, Painting & Drawing Studios, a Digital Photo Computer Lab, Student Studio Spaces, and Faculty Offices.
Stafford Hall [ map ]
Stafford Hall houses the Design studios, Graphic Design studio, Interactive Media Lab, 2 Graphic Design Computer labs, Photography Studio, Foundations Studio, and Faculty Offices.
Briscoe Hall [ map ]
Briscoe Hall is now home to Drawing studios, Ceramic studios, Printmaking, Traditional Photography labs, a new Digital Photo Computer lab, and Faculty Offices.
Howell Building [ map ]
Howell Building is now home to the Sculpture and 3D studio and workshop.
Lighting Studio and Visual Arts Center Gallery [ map ]
The Visual Arts Center, located on the edge of campus at 808 University Drive, houses exhibits throughout the year. The space is also available for workshops and other events. Studio space is available upstairs in the building, including a lighting studio with a camera and lighting equipment available to students.
Colvard Student Union Art Gallery [ map ]
Located on the second floor of the Colvard Student Union, this space hosts a variety of exhibits.
Cullis Wade Depot Art Gallery [ map ]
New to the Department of Art in the spring of 2013, the Depot Gallery is located on the second floor of the MSU Welcome Center above the Cullis & Gladys Wade Clock Museum.
Department of Art Gallery in McComas Hall [ map ]
The Department of Art Gallery in McComas Hall is located on the bottom floor of McComas Hall and houses a variety of exhibitions throughout the year.
