DEPARTMENT OF ART
Articulation Agreement
As part of the Articulation Agreement between Mississippi Junior and Community Colleges and the state’s four-year universities, the following courses will automatically transfer. A grade of “C” or better is required in each course in order for it to be accepted by the Department of Art:
ART 1213 Drawing I; ART 1223 Drawing II; ART 1123 Design I (2-D); ART 1133 Design II (Color); ART 1013 Art History I; ART 1023 Art History II and ART 2013 Painting I.
However, students must present a portfolio containing work completed in those classes at another institution to their assigned advisors for evaluation. It may be recommended that courses be repeated, audited, or some artwork be redone (if they are planning to go through the Foundation Portfolio Review for entrance into the Graphic Design emphasis).
