Give to CAAD
ENDOWMENTS Endowed faculty, student and program support funds are established with gifts from private individuals, corporations, and foundations. The gift is invested, and its earnings are used to support the purpose designated by the donor. Endowments are usually named for the donor or a person the donor wishes to honor or memorialize. Because the principal is never spent, these endowments continue in perpetuity. Individuals may give to an established endowment at any time during the life of the fund. Endowment gifts may be paid out over five years with an initial payment of at least twenty percent. Minimum endowment levels at Mississippi State are as follows:
- $10 million: Name the College of Architecture, Art, and Design
- $2.5 million: Name one of the research or service institutes within the School of Architecture [Jackson Community Design Center, Digital Research & Imaging Lab]
- $1.5 million: Faculty Chair
- $500,000: Professorship
- $25,000: Scholarship
- $25,000: Teaching, Research, Service, Staff Award Funds
