The provision of this camp is a collaboration between the Interior Design Program, the College of Architecture, and the Department of Art. Faculty and students from each of thes programs lead the camp. Funding for the camp is made possible by a grant from Gear-Up Mississippi and matching funds from the College of Archiecture, Art and Design at Mississippi State Uniervsity.
The goal of the camp was to introduce 11th grade students to the possibilities of attending college and pursuing a design related field of study. The camp was titled Building Bridges: Exposure, Exploration and Empowerment through Design.
