In 2004, MSU acknowledged the synergy associated with combining like-minded disciplines and created the College of Architecture, Art, and Design. The
Interior Design Program, previously housed in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. Four faculty members lead a program accredited by the Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) and serve a student population totaling 114.
The
Department of Art, previously housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with concentrations in Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Graphic Design, Photography, Printmaking, or Sculpture. The program, accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), serves 246 students and is led by 21 faculty members.
The
School of Architecture, a stand-alone entity since 1973, offers a five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Master of Science degree in Architecture. Sixteen faculty members serve 265 undergraduate students and 14 graduate students. The undergraduate program is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB).
